The Scion TC is manufactured by the Japan car automakers Toyota in the year 2004. The Scion tC is a concept car of their newly commenced Scion brand. The Scion tC is shared the platform of Toyota Avensis. Toyota started manufacturing the Scion tC after terminating the production of Celica in the year 2005. tC in Scion tC stands for touring coupe.
Scion TC First Generation (2004-2006)
Toyota introduced the Scion tC in the year 2004 and the sales of Scion tC also kicked off pretty soon in the year 2005. The Scion tC added few features like wishbone rear suspension and strut front to the new tC model, and it shared the design concept with Avensis. The major highlight of Scion tC were its low price when compared with its close rivals.

Release Series line
Scion started releasing the series line in the late 2004; Toyota started releasing the vehicles with the Scion badge in limited quantity. These models had special features and exclusive accessories. Second Generation (2007-2010)
The replacement option for Scion tC in the second generation was introduced in the year 2009 in an auto show held in New York. The new version had a 2.5 liter 2AR-FE I4 engine capable of delivering 180 hp, and torque of 174 lb-ft. However, the second generation Scion tC did not get fresh headlights, and taillights. The other modifications in the Scion tC include standard 18 in wheels, larger disc brakes, power steering, and a standard Vehicle Stability Control system.
Driving Impressions
The 2010 Scion tC with a 2.4-liter engine pulls the vehicle at low speeds. The manual transmission is quiet, and more powerrful than the auto transmission. However, the fuel consumption in the vehicles with manual transmission is found to be higher.
